A difficult book due to the subject. Style is excellent. You may not be ready for the ethical wake up call.To quote the author speaking of Bertrand Russell:
"was surprised to find, upon entering Cambridge, that there were alternative ethical theories. At this stage, he took “the greatest happiness of the greatest number” as his ideal. Russell moved away from his youthful utilitarianism because of what he calls “moral experience.”
