Good read
The book is an awakening for those struggling with the yoke of religion. It's a Must read.especially for those in black church.
I like this one. You have to keep an open mind with some of the topics. Much of it I believe as well. This book is not for the devout.
Great eye opener. Christians can learn a great deal from this book. As a former Christian, I will definitively recommend this book, to all religious denominations.
The author writes in a very conversational manner, making the book an easy read. The subject matter however, forces the reader to examine themselves and some tightly held beliefs. The book’s explanation of the history of Christianity and how African Americans were introduced to, or indoctrinated in, is on point.
His approach is good. Points well taken. I did want more meat. A good starting point for the ills of religious blind beliefs.
This book is a must-have and a must-read for the person interested in the growth and progression of the Black community. There are some eye opening information relayed by Mr. Camara that may be too big of a pill to be swallowed by many. This is not a book for those that do not wish to experience any cognitive dissonance. If you fear having your beliefs challenged, then look elsewhere.
